CLSU co-hosts 14th National Senior Educators' assembly

The Philippine Association of Tertiary Level Educational Institutions in Environmental Protection and Management (PATLEPAM), in cooperation with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Central Office and the Environmental Management Institute- Central Luzon State University (EMI-CLSU) hosted the 14th National Senior Educators’ Assembly for Environmental Protection on November 25-26, 2009 at the Hotel Stotsenberg, Clarkfield, Pampanga.

This year’s assembly theme is “The Environmental Awareness and Education Law (Republic Act No. 9515) and the Challenges in Building a Climate Change Resilient Nation”.

The activity serves as a good avenue for educational institutions nationwide to share their efforts regarding environmental protection and strategize to strengthen environmental education throughout the country.

Resource speakers came from National Economic Development Authority, UPLB-School for Environmental Science and Management, local government units and non-government organizations.

CLSU through Dr. Annie Melinda Paz-Alberto, Director of the Environmental Management Institute, presented the sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives of the university during the assembly.

The two-day activity was attended by some 100 delegates composed of presidents and senior officials of higher education institutions nationwide.
