CENTER FOR CLIMATE CHANGE & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
The Center for Climate Change and Environmental Management (CCCEM) officially kicked off the celebration of its 29th Anniversary with the opening of the CCCEM Milestones museum exhibit, highlighting the centerโ€™s growth, achievements, and contributions to environmental science and climate action. The exhibit also pays tribute to the Women Leaders of CCCEM, in celebration of Womenโ€™s Month, recognizing the remarkable leadership of the centerโ€™s past and present women directors.
The opening program was attended by the faculty and staff of CCCEM together with students enrolled in environmental science courses, who gathered at the museum to witness the launch of the exhibit. The event was hosted by University Museum Curator, Assist. Prof. Daryl Juganas, who welcomed the participants and introduced the significance of the exhibit.
A message was delivered by CCCEM Director, Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, who highlighted the centerโ€™s milestones, its continuing commitment to environmental research and extension, and the important role of women leaders who have shaped the institution through the years. The program concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Shirly C. Serrano and Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella joined by the CCCEM faculty and staff, formally opening the exhibit to the university community.
Following the opening, students participated in short demonstrations and guided lectures on the museum exhibits, where they learned about CCCEMโ€™s history, environmental initiatives, and contributions to climate change and environmental management.
